Don't forget: YOU are half of the equation in the partnership with your horse

Sometimes we get so focused on the care and progression of our horses that we forget to take care of ourselves.

As important as it is for our horses to be fed right, stretched, exercised regularly, have body work done and for us to train them and work them through their fears so that they can gain their confidence.... ALL is the same for us as riders too!!

We all want the best for our horses, and that is admirable. But we absolutely HAVE to remember to commit to working on both sides of the partnership.

We need to make sure that we are taking care of our health, our bodies, and building our own confidence and mindset. We need to be as committed to our own wellness and training as we are to that of our horses.

"Train yourself like you train your horse"

As riders and partners to our equine counterparts, we need to be pulling our own weight. Are you putting all the responsibility on your horse? Or are you being an active partner and truly working on yourself too.

Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Energetically--

We need to invest in training ourselves in all of these aspects just the same as we invest in training our horses. Don't forget to spend the time, money and energy on yourself as a rider as well.

So here is your gentle reminder to focus on Y.O.U. Let’s commit to progress for ourselves AND our horses.
